Our approach is to provide our customers what they need, no more, no less. We can provide initial DIR set up help and advice for those that need it. We can help staff map studies correctly, navigate the DIR site, as well as work with staff to help them understand how to interpret and think about the results. We are also able to provide the statistical analysis needed to identify the individual “incidents” as required by the Joint Commission at whatever frequency desired.
And most importantly, we do this by working with staff to engage and involve them in the process. We will customize our program to meet the department’s needs. Some will find their radiology department staff, with appropriate guidance and training, can take the lead role in much of this process, if not initially, certainly after some period of time. When that occurs, we are happy to reduce our involvement. Others may find it is simply a better use of staff to have DRSS continue to perform some of these duties. In short, we will customize our program to meet your needs.
